What Makes This Different from a Top Pokémon List?

A Top Pokémon list ranks any favorites in order. Favorite Pokémon by Type gives every one of the 18 types its own slot, so each type is represented even when it would not appear in your overall Top 9.

Is This a Pokémon Type Chart?

What is a Favorite Pokémon by Type Picker?
It is a tool for choosing one favorite Pokémon for each of the 18 Pokémon types and turning the completed selections into a downloadable chart.
How many Pokémon types are included?
All 18 current Pokémon types are included, with one favorite slot for each type.
Can dual-type Pokémon count for either type?
Yes. A dual-type Pokémon appears as an option for both of its types, so you can choose it for whichever slot fits your preference.
Can I use the same Pokémon more than once?
Yes. A dual-type Pokémon can be used in more than one matching type slot. The same Pokémon can appear more than once in your finished chart.
Can I skip a type?
Yes. Choose Skip for now and return to that type from the progress grid whenever you are ready.
Can I replace a Pokémon after selecting it?
Yes. Select any completed type slot to replace its current Pokémon.
Can I download an incomplete chart?
Yes. You can download the current chart with empty slots, or complete all 18 types first.
Is this different from the full Favorite Pokémon Picker?
Yes. This tool creates a compact chart with one favorite for each type. The full Favorite Pokémon Picker includes additional generation, category and special Pokémon spaces.
Is this the Pokémon type effectiveness chart?
No. This tool is for personal favorites. Use the Pokémon Weakness Chart to check type matchups, weaknesses, resistances and immunities.
