FAQ

How is Team Planner different from Team Builder?
Team Builder helps you pick up to six Pokemon and share a team card quickly. Team Planner goes deeper: moves, abilities, game dex filters, weakness and coverage analysis, and replacement flow.
What does playthrough mode filter by?
Playthrough mode uses a game profile: dex membership, version exclusives, Transfer-only tags, and HMs when that game has them.
Do you use older generation type charts?
Yes. Analysis picks Generation 1, Generation 2–5, or modern charts from the selected game’s generation so older playthroughs stay era-correct.
Does Terastallization change defensive analysis?
Yes. When a member has a Tera type set, defensive calculations treat that Pokemon as the single Tera type.
What is STAB coverage vs move coverage?
STAB coverage comes from species (and Tera) types. Move coverage uses only the moves you selected. They stay separate so empty movesets do not look covered.
Are abilities included in weakness checks?
By default, yes for known defensive abilities. In playthrough mode you can ignore abilities if you want a types-only view.
Can I import a Pokemon Showdown team?
Yes. Competitive mode lets you paste Showdown text, review matches, and import into the six slots.
Are shared team links indexed by search engines?
No. Studio links—including share URLs—are marked noindex so private plans stay out of search results.
